A Gathering of Youth

A Gathering of Youth is a hands-on conference planned by and for youth with disabilities. Only youth will participate in the sessions – No Parents Allowed!!!

Sessions this year will include information about dreams and goals, information about jobs and college, handling stress and having fun, a scavenger hunt, and a special session for guy talk and girl talk.

Who: Youth with disabilities between the ages of 13 and 21.

Where: Madison Marriott West - Middleton, WI

When: April 28 & 29, 2005


This will be a chance for youth to

Learn ~ Share ~ Dream ~ Make friends ~ Have fun!

Registration is limited to 25 participants and is first come, first served. You may only register if this will be your first or second time coming to the conference. If you’ve attended at least twice, call to find out about volunteer opportunities!

Youth who need one-to-one personal care or other assistance to participate must bring their own attendant (but no parents!). If you need ideas about how to find someone to come with you, contact Jenny at the number below.

The Gathering of Youth will invite all Circles of Life participants to come to a DANCE on Thursday night, April 28, 2005!

A Gathering of Youth is Sponsored by the Wisconsin Healthy & Ready to Work Project, Waisman Center and the Wisconsin Council on Developmental Disabilities.
