Sibshops!

"Something special for brothers and sisters ages 5-14 who are siblings to people with special needs"

 

WHAT IS IT?

Sibshops are lively celebrations of the contributions made by the brothers and sisters of kids who have a sibling with special needs. In a relaxed recreational setting, children ages 5-14 have the chance to:

• Meet other participants like them
• Play games ! Have fun! No worries!
• Talk about things important to Sibshops participants
• Make new friends
  

WHO CAN ATTEND?

To attend Sibshops:

• You have a brother or sister who has disabilities
• Are 5 to 14 years old

HOW TO REGISTER FOR SIBSHOPS:

1. Contact Rose Helms at (608) 558-8204. Rose will register your child(ren) over the phone for Sibshops. Each child attending Sibshops will be assigned a confirmation number.
   
2. Complete the Circles of Life Registration Form for all family members. Be sure to check off Sibshops attendance where appropriate and include the confirmation number you were given.
   
   

IMPORTANT NOTES:

• Parents are required to drop off and pick up their kids both days.
• Sibshops participants are expected to attend both days of the Sibshops.
• Be sure to check "both days" on the conference registration form and include full payment according to the pricing chart on the registration form.
• Parents, please be sure to bring your child to Sibshops 15 minutes before the conference schedule begins.
• An information sheet and waiver form must be reviewed and signed by a parent before each child will be permitted to stay at the Sibshop.
• Registration is limited. First come, first serve.

Registration Deadline for Sibshops is March 24, 2008.
