May 5, 2008 - New Training Coordinator Named

Nancy Olson is the new Training and Outreach Coordinator for Family Voices of Wisconsin, Nancy is replacing Linda Keegan who previously served in this position. Nancy will support the Parent Training Network and the Did You Know program, along with other activities that support our Family-to-Family Health Information and Education Network.  Nancy can be reached at Nancy@fvofwi.org

About Nancy:
Nancy Olson is well known to many of you, as she has been a strong presence in the field of disability services for many years. Nancy has joined Family Voices of Wisconsin as our new Training and Outreach Coordinator and works from her home office in Weston, where she lives with her husband and son. She brings vast experience in state coalition and network building through her work with the National Respite Resource Center and in the development of Lifespan Respite Legislation in Wisconsin. She is a registered nurse and has held several positions in the field of disabilities, including working with several counties to develop a single point of entry for children’s services. Nancy has worked in the areas of fund raising and marketing, strategic planning, leadership development, program development and care coordination and is knowledgeable of the services and supports for families and children with disabilities and special health care needs, she is a seasoned advocate and is knowledgeable of policymaking and the legislative process.
