Access to Independence promotes the integration of people with disabilities into communities, which have a wealth of opportunities.

Access to Independence is one of the eight state independent living centers.

The mission of Access to Independence is to join people with disabilities in creating access to community through education, action and choice.

Like all ILCs, Access provides four core services:

  • Information and Referral
  • Peer Support
  • Independent Living Skills Training and
  • Advocacy
In addition to he four core services, our agency provides other services to people with disabilities including
  • Assistive Technology
  • Housing locating services
  • Specialized services for people who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • Programs for children & youth with disabilities
  • Self-Determination and
  • Empowerment Courses, for people with developmental disabilities
  • And much more
