North Country Independent Living is a private nonprofit agency serving people with disabilities in northwestern Wisconsin. The agency mission is to assist people with disabilities in living as independently as his or her abilities allow. The mission is broad based, allowing North Country Independent Living to respond to a variety of needs. The philosophy promotes people with disabilities being active participants in daily living and being given the same opportunities and choices as others. This philosophy is promoted through consumer choice and control. People with disabilities are active participants within the agency. The majority of the Board of Directors and staff are people with disabilities.
